The Millennium Bridge Joins Dublin

Sunday, 7th November, 1999

After years of planning and months of construction the Millennium Bridge was lifted into place in just 25 minutes. The architect, Mr. James Howley, stood on the balcony of Eliza Lodge hotel "shaking with nerves." But, the bridge slipped into place without mishap.
